2021 was an exciting year for DynamO, not only in terms of new developments and market expansion, but also regarding strategy and financing. Last December the startup team successfully completed its first round of capital raising with the investment of two angel investors, László Bodrogközi, managing director of Neuron Software Ltd. and Zoltán Györkő, former managing director of IT security firm Balabit. The cooperation will not only bring financial benefits to DynamO, but also provides access to the professional experience and networking capital of two experienced managers with IT backgrounds, as well as the potential synergies among the portfolio companies.
László Bodrogközi is the owner and CEO of Neuron Software. Neuron Software Ltd, founded in 1998 is a software development company fully owned by Hungarian owners. The workforce of 45 employees includes developers, testers, business analysts, and operators. The company’s revenue totaled 1,6 million EUR in 2020 and reached 2,2 million EUR in 2021. The annual growth rate has recently been between 20% to 50%. Neuron has already completed more than 800 projects successfully, and their software products operate in 13 countries. Since 2018 the company has been holding an AAA certificate of excellence by Dun & Bradstreet Bisnode which only 0,63% of Hungarian companies are eligible for. Neuron became ISO 27001 certified for information security practices in 2021. Neuron names many prestigious companies as their clients such as Vodafone, Magyar Telekom, HBO GO, ING Bank, Swietelsky Group.
Zoltán Györkő is the co-founder and exCEO of Balabit. He and his partners Balázs Scheidler CTO and Endre Wagner VP Services started the company in 2000. Balabit became a successful global vendor in enterprise cyber security software space. The company had customers in more than fifty countries, supported by about 100 reseller partners and had local offices in 8 countries. Balabit raised growth capital from a UK venture firm in 2014 (8M USD) and was later acquired by Quest Software in 2018. Zoltán was awarded the E&Y Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year and the IT Manager of the Year Hungary. After a successful integration of the businesses they left Quest in 2019. Since then they operate as an angel investor team focusing on focus on B2B ideas.
